Day Twelve: Mad Hatter Tea Party

We are halfway through our countdown.

Max has been wanting to make scones, and we got the idea of having a Mad Hatter Tea Party from my friend Anna. We invited our friends Carl, Will and Tilly to join us for afternoon tea. 

Cheddar and chive scones for savory treats.

And blueberry scones for the sweet ones.

Of course, there were plenty of other sweet things to eat.

We used the gold-rimmed tea set that Oma brought us from Germany many years ago. The boys wondered why we don't get out this fancy tea set more often. We also had a set of small embroidered napkins that Martin's Oma made.

We had a few hat changes through the afternoon.

So much fun.
